Iranian international winger reveals that he was close to joining English championship Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. in the summer. The 21-year-old player joined AZ Alkmaar from NEC in the summer.
“That’s right. I was very close to join Brighton & Hove Albion. I went there and negotiated with them. They had a good stadium and training ground. It all looked good, but I had doubts,” Jahanbakhsh told in an interview with AZ Alkmaar site.
“I was not 100 percent sure that I wanted to join them. When AZ showed interest in me, I immediately accepted that. It is a big club in the Netherlands,” he added.
