Defending champions crushed Bangkok Glass 3-1 on Saturday to seal their fifth – once they won as PEA FC in 2008 – title with three rounds to spare.

Goals by Koravit Namwiset, Go Seul-Ki and Venezuela international Andres Tunez erased the effort of Bangkok Glass midfielder Toti Rodriguez as the Thunder Castle eased to a convincing away win at Leo Stadium.

It was Buriram’s third consecutive title victory since 2013 and second under Brazilian tactician Alexandre Gama, who led his team to win their 13th game in a row to thwart the challenge of nearest rivals Muangthong United this season.

Buriram are the only team in the league sporting an unbeaten record so far during this year campaign. They also previously claimed the League Cup crown last week.Thaila
