Buriram United made history yesterday when they outplayed bitter rivals SCG Muang Thong United 3-1 in the FA Cup title showdown to lift their fifth trophy of the year.
Goals from Andres Tunez and Ko Seul-Ki on the either side of half-time set the tone of the match and when Jakkraphan Kaewprom found the net again for Buriram, the writing was on the wall for Muang Thong United.
In the 81st minute, Gjurovski, set up by Chananan Pombupha, succeeded in planting a low left-footed drive into the net to deliver the consolation goal for Muangthong.
Muang Thong ended the match with 10 men in the dying moments when Gjurovski was sent off for picking up his second yellow card of the match.
With Thai FA Cup triumph, Buriram United has claim five trophies this season and became the first team in Asia to reach this milestone.
