Chonburi has signed a new striker, Rodrigo Vergilio from Royal Navy ahead of next AFC Champions League campaign.
Jeerasak Jomthong, Chonburi marketing director said: “We already signed with Rodrigo, but we can not present him now because he still have the contract with Navy until December 31st.”
“He was off to Brazil for vacation and the contract with us will start on January 1st. His wage will not be revealed.”
“For other foreigners, Anderson Dos Santos and Leandro Assumpcao will stay with us. Cunha left for Port and Mineiro went to Japan. We are looking for a new Asian player after parting ways with Cho Byung-Kuk.”
Rodrigo Vergilio, 32, scored 12 goals from 14 games in TPL last season. The Brazilian is expected to be the replacement of Thiago Cunha. He is the fourth signing of the Chonburi in this transfer window after Naron Jansawek, Prakit Deeprom and Naruphol Ar-Romsawa.
