Cardiff City’s Kenwyne Jones has joined Al Jazira in the United Arab Emirates on loan until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old striker joined Cardiff from Stoke in January 2014 and is one of the club’s highest earners.
Cardiff will receive a loan fee from Al Jazira for the duration of the loan, and the Abu Dhabi-based club will pay all his wages. Jones was first linked to Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua, before his talks with Jazira emerged.
In other hands, Lafita would arrive in Al Jazira to take place of underwhelming Brazil playmaker Thiago Neves or injured Peru forward Jefferson Farfan.
