Arema Cronus’s general manager Rudy Widodo confirmed the departure with local media.
“I knew he was going to leave. He wants to play in regular competitions and is heading to Japanese side Gamba Osaka.”
“As he had eight seasons with us, I want to keep him at the club. Moreover, coach Milo also wants Meiga to be be part of the team. But in the end for the good of him, Arema had to give up.”, Rudy admitted after the press conference and the introduction of new players on Wednesday.
