have won the final spot in the Super League after coach Rahmad Darmawan’s side beat an under-strength Armed Forces 2-1 in a tightly contested playoff at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh.

Nippy winger Ahmad Takiyuddin Roslan scored the first goal in the 26th minute before former Croatian Under-21 striker Tomislav Busic headed in the second in the 44th minute.

Forces’ solitary goal was scored by Mohd Sukri Mat Hamidi in the 51st minute.

Forces, who fielded a team of army personnel, made the east coast side containing three foreign players slog for the Super League slot.

The playoff was held due to the Football Association of ’s (FAM) decision not to extend Singapore side Lions XII’s stay in the M-League for the 2016 season.
