Brazilian attacker Ricardo Goulart has extended his contract with Guangzhou Evergrande until January 2020, the club confirmed on its official website.
The ex-Cruzeiro has enjoyed huge success since moving from Brazilian club Cruzeiro to Chinese Super League side in early 2015. He scored 19 goals in 27 appearances in the domestic league, helping them win the title.
Goulart also scored 8 goals in 14 matches in the AFC Champions League, including 6 goals in as many matches in the group stage and a brace against Seongnam FC in the Round of 16.
He was a key contributor to Guangzhou Evergrande success on continental level, and was named AFC Foreign Player of the Year as well as AFC Champions league MVP and Top Scorer for the season.
Goulart joined Guangzhou Evergrande at the start of the 2015 Chinese Super League season for a then-record breaking fee of €15 million. On international level, he was called up to the Brazilian national team in August 2014, and made his debut for the Selecao in a friendly match against Ecuador.
