Indonesian winger Boaz Salossa has joined Carsae FC from Persipura Jayapura, the Timorese club confirmed on its official Facebook account.
News on the move has long been circulating, with sources said the club wanted the winger’s service to compete in the Timorese top-flight Liga Futebol Amadora.
Eventually, Carsae FC confirmed the transfer on its official Facebook account, with his name appearing on a list of 26 players who were registered to play in the 2016 season.
Boaz Salossa the majority of his career playing for Indonesian club Persipura Jayapura, where he scored 138 goals in 200 league appearances and won the domestic title four times.
However, due to the suspension of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI), the club decided to disband their team in June 2015. Many of the squad players have been released as free agents.
On international level, Boaz Salossa has played 32 matches for the Indonesia national team, scoring 8 goals, including 4 in the 2004 Tiger Cup where the Merah-Putih finished runner-up.
Boaz also became the third Indonesian player to join Carsae FC. Previously, the club has also landed Imanuel Wanggai and Octavian Maniani.
