The 25 year-old player received an offer to play for K League Classic side Suwon Samsung, but he didn’t want to leave Europe at the moment, according to reports.
Karim Ansarifard made his name at Persian Gulf Pro League side Saipa, playing more than 122 league games and scored 55 goals for the club at a relatively young age.
During his time at Saipa, Ansarifard was linked to numerous European clubs including Borussia Dortmund, Celtic and Everton. However, he decided to stay in Iran, continuing to play for Saipa as well as two other clubs, Persepolis and Tractor Sazi.
The Iranian striker left Iran to join Osasuna in 2014, however after failing to impress at the Spanish club, he switched to Panionios in the Superleague Greece. He has played 22 league games, scoring 7 goals for the Greek outfit.
On international level, Ansarifard has represented the Iran football team in the 2011 and 2015 AFC Asian Cup, as well as the 2014 World Cup.
He became the youngest ever goalscorer for Team Melli in the Asian Cup in 2011, when he was 20 year-old.
