The Thai club will not sell the Nigeria-born forward, manager Branko Smiljanic confirmed.
It is recently reported that Muangthong United considered making a bid for BEC Tero Sasana striker Greg Nwokolo, as the Twin Qilins has registered only four foreign players (Cleiton Silva, Michael N’dri, Mario and Naoaki Aoyama).
However, manager Branko Smiljanic said in an interview with local newspaper that Greg Nwokolo is not for sale.
“We’re not selling Greg Nwokolo or loaning him out, because now we have five foreign players in our team and I think it’s great. There’s no plan to sell any of them… We believe they are key players of the team”, the coach said.
Greg Nwokolo joined BEC Tero Sasana in 2015 and scored 5 goals in 16 league games for the Fire Dragons.
Other than him, the club has registered four foreign players, including the Serbian trio Milos Bosancic, Milan Bubalo and Sreten Sretenovic, along with the South Korean veteran Kim Jung-woo.
