JFA president Kozo Tashima targets World Cup semi-final spot by 2030

Newly-appointed president promised to help national team to reach the World Cup semi-finals by 2030.

Along with Tashima, former national team head coach Takeshi Okada was re-installed as JFA vice president, while former Gamba Osaka manager Akira Nishino took charge as the technical director.

Tashima also set his sight on winning medals at the 2020 Olympics, which will be held in Tokyo, Japan. Furthermore, he promised to put equal emphasis on the development of coaches and players for both men and women teams.
