Guangzhou R&F manager Dragan Stojkovic turned down offer from Marseille

manager has turned down an offer from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille in order to stay at the the Chinese club, local newspaper reported.

Previously, the former Serbian footballer received a big money offer from Marseille, who was struggling in the domestic league, according to French media.

Stojkovic, who had a stint with Marseille in the 1990s, was rated very highly by the club’s board of director, and as a result, an offer was made.

However, the French club is likely to retain Spanish coach Michel as their manager, and wait until the end of the season to appoint Stojkovic.
