Iran eye Persepolis’ Ivankovic as Queiroz replacement

Football Federation of (FFIRI) is reportedly keeping an eye on head coach as a replacement for if he decides to leave his current post.

Queiroz, who is under contract with Team Melli until the , has recently hinted that he will not continue his job following a disagreement with the Iranian sport officials.

According to Persian Football, Ivankovic, who coached Iran between 2006-2006, has a term on his new contract with Persepolis which could allow him to leave the club and take the national team role.

Iran, the three-time Asian Cup champions, have qualified for the third round of World Cup qualifiers, where they will face South Korea, Uzbekistan, Qatar, China and Syria in Group A.
