Beijing Guoan manager Alberto Zaccheroni has come under pressure as fans protested after a 2-1 defeat to Jiangsu Suning in the domestic league.
Hundreds of fans massed at the Beijing’s Worker’s Stadium, demanded Zaccheroni to resign.
“The fans’ reaction is normal. I know this performance is just too difficult to watch,” the Italian manager said in the post-match conference.
“This season I have not had a full squad to choose from even once, so my options have been very limited”, the manager lamented.
Beijing Guoan has made a poor start to the season with just one win in seven matches. The club lies second bottom on the Chinese Super League table.
