Malaysian Super League outfit PDRM FA has come to an understanding to terminate the contract with Maldives national team captain Ali Ashfaq on mutual consent due to an injury.
“I and PDRM FA has come to an understanding to terminate my contract with the club on mutual consent due to my injury situation, for which I need a considerable amount of time to recover from.” Ashfaq said on his official Facebook page.
“I would like to thank PDRM’s top management for everything they have done for me in the past two years and all fans including the whole Malaysian football family for the fantastic support.”
“I will be taking any decision regarding my career as soon as I recover from the injury that I am suffering now.”
Ashfaq joined PDRM FA in 2013 when the club was playing in the second division. Ashfaq has scored 22 goals for PDRM FA in 2014 and played a vital role in promoting PDRM FA to the Malaysia’s Super League, their top level tournament.
