General Secretary Ly Heang said in a statement that the club’s disqualification from is unfair.

Previously, the AFC has refused the participation of Phnom Penh Crown FC in the 2017 AFC Cup qualification after four club officials were found guilty of match-fixing earlier this year.

However, according to Ly Heang, the offences were committed by a small number of individuals, and not by the club itself. The club’s general secretary concluded that the club’s disqualification from AFC Cup, therefore, is unfair.
