China League One outfit Tianjin Quanjian has sacked Brazilian manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo, according to reports.
Tianjin Quanjian has gone four consecutive matches without a win, which resulted in them falling to the 8th spot on the league table with 16 points from 12 matches – 11 points behind league leaders Qingdao Huanghai.
The former Real Madrid manager was appointed last September, and he was tasked with guiding Tianjin Quanjian to promotion this season.
However, after a string of lacklustre performances from the team, Luxemburgo was terminated from his contract.
The Brazilian manager will be paid €6.7 million in compensation.
