Philippine national team will be playing against an Australian A-League squad, Perth Glory, next month in Vigan.
Azkals manager Dan Palami disclosed this news to reporters last Saturday after the Fifa Organizational Review/Leadership Retreat at the Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Spa in Lapu-Lapu City.
This is the first time that the Philippine Azkals will play outside of Manila and Visayas.
“It’s a good indication that football is growing, when you have something activity going in Ilocos,” Palami said.
After the game in Vigan, Azklas will be playing a friendly against Kyrgyzstan in August.
“We are thinking of playing Singapore but that was before they change their coach. On our way to Kyrgyzstan maybe we can pass by China and play a game in Beijing, maybe against North Korea again. I think they are open to that,” said Palami.
Palami said that Kyrgyzstan will be coming over in November for the second leg of the friendly, which will be played at the Philippine Stadium.
