An unnamed Chinese club has offered a €3.5 million a year contract for Fenerbahce playmaker Diego, according to reports.
The Brazilian midfielder joined Fenerbahce in 2014 after a short stint with Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid. He has made only 17 league appearances for the Turkish club last season, scoring two goals. According to local newspapers, he is allowed to leave the club in the Summer transfer window.
The name of the Chinese club in question wasn’t revealed, however according to Chinese media, it is likely that Shandong Luneng has recently made contact with the Brazilian player. The club’s manager, Felix Magath worked with Diego at Wolfsburg, where they won the Bundesliga title in 2009.
