Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F has announced the signing of Israel national team striker Eran Zahavi from Maccabi Tel Aviv.
According to sources, the transfer fee is around $7.1 million, and the player will receive an annual wage of $4.5 million.
A product of Hapoel Tel Aviv youth system, Zahavi had a short stint with Italian club Palermo before returning to Israel to join Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The prolific goalscorer scored 98 league goals in 117 appearances for the Yellows, helping the team to win three league titles in a row. He was voted as the Footballer of the Year in Israel twice in 2014 and 2015.
