Azkals standout and fan-favorit Stephan Schrock will be staying on with reigning UFL Division I champions and 2016 UFL Cup runners-up Ceres-La Salle, for at least until January of 2017.
Schrock made the announcement via his Twitter profile, while thanking the Ceres-La Salle football club.
According the the offcial release on the Ceres-La Salle website, Schrock’s loan from parent club SpVgg Greuther Fürth was extended for another six months.
Schrock came on board back in January of 2016, just in time for the club’s AFC Cup campaign.
The Fil-German midfielder made an immediate impact with Ceres-La Salle, helping the club to the Round of 16 of the 2016 AFC Cup, becoming the first Pinoy club to make it that far into the tournament, and finish the Group Stage on top.
Schrock also led Ceres-La Salle to the semifinals of the 2016 RHB Singapore Cup, and is currently the tournament’s leading scorer, with five made conversions.
In local tournaments, Schrock was also instrumental in powering Ceres-La Salle to a UFL Cup Finals appearance.
