Thailand will take aim at a perfect record at the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup group stage, coach Kiatisuk said in an interview.
The War Elephants were drawn into a relatively difficult group, being pitted against four-time ASEAN champions Singapore, co-hosts Philippines and Indonesia.
However, the former Hoang Anh Gia Lai striker made it clear that the team will take aim at winning every match in the group stage, as well as winning the tournament.
“This is a very tough group where all the teams have their strengths and they will put in their best performance for every match”, Kiatisuk said. “The Philippines have been on the rise and even Indonesia are a tricky team”.
“We will not underestimate our opponents at the group stage. We will take time to evaluate their strength and weakness”.
“We want to win all nine points at the group stage. Our aim is to be the champions once again”, the former striker said.
