Serie A outfit Napoli is considering making a bid for Iraqi defender Ali Adnan, according to reports.
The Partenopei is reportedly looking for an alternative option for Faouzi Ghoulam and Kalidou Koulibaly. Both of the players will be involving in the 2017 African Cup of Nations (CAN), and thus will be unable to play for Napoli for up to a month.
Ali Adnan has made his name playing for Baghdad FC before moving to Turkish club Caykur Rizespor in 2013. He joined Italian side Udinese in 2015, playing mainly as a left-back.
He was nicknamed “Asian Gareth Bale” by Turkish media, mostly due to his pace and set-piece specialty.
The 22 year-old player also represented Iraq on international level, playing 40 matches for the team and scoring three goals.
