Thailand U19 team has arrived in Hanoi, Vietnam and is ready to defend the AFF U19 Championship title, the team’s manager told local newspapers.
This is the first youth tournament for new manager Anurak Srikerd, who has been appointed recently to replace Chalermwoot Sa-ngapol, after the latter’s resignation due to poor results in the 2016 U19 KBZ Bank Cup last month.
“We have prepared quite well for the tournament. We have studied Australia and Vietnam’s style of play. We are aiming for the title”, the manager said in an interview with local media.
Thailand was drawn into group B of the tournament, along with Laos, Myanmar, Australia, Cambodia and Indonesia.
