Vietnam national team has recorded an impressive 5-2 victory over North Korea in a friendly match yesterday.
Goals from Nguyen Tuan Anh, Le Cong Vinh, Vu Van Thanh, Luong Xuan Truong and Pham Thanh Luong helped the Golden Stars to win against a shell-shocked North Korea at Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh city.
After the match, Yokohama FC midfielder Nguyen Tuan Anh said he was surprised that he could score against North Korea.
“I was really surprised after scoring my goal. I think it was a lucky goal for me. I played pretty well in the first half, but my thigh hurt a bit in the second half, so I have to go out”, the 21-year-old footballer told local newspapers.
Meanwhile, Incheon United’s Luong Xuan Truong said the Golden Stars’ victory was due to their effective counter-attack tactics.
“We played counter-attack very well. The opponents gave us a lot of pressure in the first half, but we were able to hold it against them. In the second half, we had a lot of counter-attacking chances and we were able to win”, the 21 year-old footballer said.
