Thai Leagues cancel remaining fixtures after King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s passing

The Football Association (FAT) has made an announcement that all football, futsal and beach soccer activities will be canceled immediately.

As a result, the 2016 Thai Premier League season will be canceled.

According to the announcement, the league table at the moment will be used to decide the winners as well as the relegated teams. As a result, Muangthong United is the Thai Premier League champions, while Army Utd, Chainat and BBCU will be relegated. Bangkok United has secured a place in the ACL preliminary round two.

Moreover, all remaining domestic cup fixtures will also be terminated. The League cup final between Muangthong United and Buriram United will be decided by a lottery draw.

Similarly, FA Cup semi-finals between Ratchaburi, Sukhothai, Chonburi and Chainat will also be decided by lottery draw.
