Brazilian manager Leonardo Vitorino has signed a two-year contract extension with Lao Premier League side Lanexang United, which will keep him at the club until 2018, official sources confirmed.
Vitorino was appointed in May 2016 as a replacement for his predecessor Dave Booth. Under the Brazilian’s management, Lanexang United has won the 2016 Lao Premier League title.
“I’m happy for the result in the club since the work is well fluid and we have new goals to be achieved in these two-year contract”, Vitorino said in a recent interview.
“We won the title this season and now we start to a new stage, that is, start the race in international competitions, which will be important for the future of Lanexang United, which aims to transform into force of Asian football”, the Brazilian coach told local newspapers.
Lanexang United has qualified for the 2017 AFC Cup as the domestic league winners.
