South Korean manager Kwon Oh-son has been appointed as Brunei head coach for the upcoming AFC Solidarity Cup, official sources confirmed.
The 57-year-old manager was in charge of the Tebuan at the 2012 AFF Cup qualifiers in Myanmar, where they came close to reaching the finals.
Kwon Oh-son will replace Brunei interim national head coach Mike Wong.
“He is the best candidate at the present moment”, Wong told local newspapers.
Brunei are in Group A of the 2016 AFC Solidarity Cup. The team will kick off with a match against Timor Leste on November 2, before playing Nepal on November 8.
