Fiji Football Association is in negotiation with the Myanmar Football Federation for International friendlies, which is highly likely to be played in December.
In a statement by Vodafone Fiji, national team director Tarunesh Reddy said: “There are only a couple of things to be finalised that is the dates and the number of matches we want to play. They have also shown interest to play Fiji.”
There will be a tough competition among the players as only 20 will be selected to travel with the squad for the international friendly.
“We will be carrying 20 players to overseas for build-up matches, so it will be a huge task for the players to prove themselves and be part of the 20-member traveling squad.”
The national side plays New Zealand on March 25 next year at home before playing New Zealand in an away match on March 28.
