Boeung Ket Angkor has qualified for this year’s Mekong Club Championship semi final after defeating B. Binh Duong last season.
Meanwhile, Vietnam’s representative this year, SHB Da Nang will enter the tournament from the first round, where they will be pitted against Lanexang United and Yadanarbon.
The winners of the first round will face Boeung Ket Angkor at the semi-finals.
Boeung Ket Angkor manager Prak Sovannara said he and his team would like to avoid SHB Da Nang, and Vietnamese clubs in general, as they often pose a great threat to them.
“Vietnamese clubs are strong and they usually field great players. I hope to avoid them in the tournament. It will be tough to play against them”, the manager said.
