Myanmar’s chances at the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup are being hurt by a stream of injury to key defenders. After the withdrawal of Zaw Lin, Myanmar has lost another defender in the form of Aung Zaw.
The 26-year-old footballer has suffered a serious knee injury and might have to go under the knife. As a result, Aung Zaw has been withdrawn from Myanmar AFF Suzuki squad. However, it is unclear which player will be called up to replace the former Yangon United defender.
“Aung Zaw suffered a muscle torn in his left knee and he will have a surgery soon. He won’t be able to play in the AFF Suzuki Cup”, Myanmar national team doctor Aung Kyaw Oo told local newspaper.
