Vietnam national team captain Le Cong Vinh has decided to leave Becamex Binh Duong on mutual agreement, according to reports.
The 30-year-old attacker joined Becamex Binh Duong in 2014. He had helped the club to win back-to-back league titles in 2014 and 2015. In the 2016 season, he scored five goals in the domestic league for the team.
“I have a lot to thank Becamex Binh Duong for. The level of support from the club is incredible, and it helped me to achieve a lot in the last two years. I have won the league title and the domestic cup with the team”, Le Cong Vinh told local newspapers.
The former Song Lam Nghe An footballer is expected to retire from international football at the end of the upcoming 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup. He has scored 47 goals in 76 appearances for the Golden Stars.
Becamex Binh Duong also released three other players whose contracts have expired, i.e,Nguyen Trong Hoang, Truong Dinh Luat and Au Van Hoan.
