Indonesia national team footballer Irfan Bachdim has suffered a serious injury in a training session just ahead of the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup.
According to reports, the Consadole Sapporo forward will be sidelined for at least two months, making him unable to participate in the biannual tournament.
It is also reported that Bachdim will be replaced by Persipura Jayapura attacker Ferinando Pahabol.
Irfan Bachdim has played in Japan for two years. He joined Ventforet Kofu in January 2014, before moving to Consadole Sapporo a year later.
The 28-year-old footballer has played 29 matches for the Garuda, scoring 10 goals.
