head coach Alfred Riedl has named his final 23-player AFF Suzuki Cup squad, with Muchlis Hadi joining the team as a late-minute replacement for Ferinando Pahabol.

Pahabol was prohibited by his current club, Persipura Jayapura, from playing for the national team in the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup. As a result, head coach Riedl had to call up Muchlis Hadi Ning Syaifulloh of PSM Makassar to replace him.

Another notable absence for the Garuda is the Japan-based Irfan Bachdim, who suffered a serious injury just ahead of the AFF Suzuki Cup. According to reports, the 28-year-old player could be sidelined for up to two months.

Indonesia is in group A at the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup, along with hosts Philippines, Thailand and Singapore.
