Buriram United of Thai League held the press conference of 2017 pre-season in the period of 14-22 January 2016. The fixtures are featured by Malaysian club Johor Darul Ta’zim, Myanmar All-Star, and Cambodian National Defense Ministry. All of the income will be donated to charity.
On 13 December 2016, Thai League side Buriram United officially announced the pre-season plan of 2017 ASEAN Tour. The 4-time Thai League winner is setting up the schedule to play against 3 teams from 3 countries. The ceremony was attended by the honorable guests from Malaysia, Myanmar, and Cambodia.
Buriram United will play the first ASEAN pre-season on 14 January 2017 against Malaysian champion Johor Darul Ta’zim before the travel to Myanmar.
On 18 January, Buriram will play Myanmar National League All-Star in the charity match for Ayeyawady hospital then back to host Cambodian club National Defense Ministry at Thunder Castle Stadium on 22 January.
Before the set of ASEAN friendlies, Buriram is going to play the domestic warm-up games against Nakhon Ratchasima and Thai Honda on 23 and 28 December in order to prepare for the 2016 Mekong Club Championship in early of January.
